BiographyTristan was diagnosed in July 2020 with leukaemia(ALL), the worst day of our lives as no parents should have to hear the words 'you’re child has cancer'.
We were admitted to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital where Tristan underwent induction intense chemotherapy treatment. It was a very hard, long few months for Tristan and us as a family but Tristan always showed strength and courage throughout with a smile on his face no matter what.
Tristan is currently in long term maintenance where he has his daily chemotherapy (orally), with monthly vincristine and dex (steroids), and every 12 weeks lumbar punctures. Tristan has to have weekly bloods to check his blood counts to make sure they are where they should be.
Tristan has missed out on so much school and socialising with his friends and doing normal things that all 11 year old boys love to do due to being neutropenic a lot of the time.
No matter what he never moans and always thinking of the positives and is always smiling
He really is our superhero.
Well done Tristan and keep smashing it. xx
