Biography

Taylor was born in 2011 with spina bifida. She had surgery at a day old to close the sack. She then went through surgery in March 2012 to put a shunt in to drain fluid from her brain.

Taylor has had many surgeries for bladder and bowel problems, knees and eyes. She was in HDU for 4 days when she was 4 with sepsis and then we were told she had diabetes too. Taylor is now 10, a full time wheelchair user and is going for major surgery in February this year. She will be off school for a couple months as it is a long recovery. Through all these difficulties Taylor keeps on smiling. We are very blessed to be her parents.

Despite Taylor having all these different things going on she still gets on with things. She has a vocabulary of about 8 words and makes up signs for other things. She uses a little Makaton too.

Taylor loves arts & crafts and loves making food whether it be a pot
of soup or cakes. She is also very girlie and loves playing with her make-up and doing hair.

The doctors call her a wee medical marvel!
