Biography

Kian is 14. He is our only child at home with us. He is such a happy boy despite his struggles. He was our surprise, but a much wanted one.

We first noticed things weren't quite right when he was sleeping 15 hrs a night and didn't meet his mile stones. We actually thought he was blind and deaf as he didn't respond to toys and us trying to interact with him. He couldn't support his own head until he was 18 months and didn't walk until he was 2 1/2.

His first diagnosis was autism on the severe end of the spectrum with other diagnoses later. Kian didn't eat at all until he was 13 and is just starting his journey with solid food now. He survived on fortini prescribed milk shakes for 13 yrs and still only drinks milk but has started to eat some foods.

His worse diagnosis came at 12 when he hit puberty which kick started epilepsy. His last 2 seizures have been quite bad with one resulting in him on life support.

Kian attends a special needs school, he loves school and is thriving well.
We are profoundly deaf parents and he tries his best with communicating with us. He loves Mickey Mouse, playing pool(kian style), You Tube, Mr Tumble, Peppa Pig, Postman Pat, numbers, Countdown and his Xbox. He also loves Liverpool FC. He actually spends a lot of time chilling on his bed and i think he would be over the moon with his own special quilt.
Thank you so much for thinking of Kian.
