Lucas was very happy with his dinosaur quilt and he has been sleeping under it since he received it. Even when I say it's too warm outside, he still insists on sleeping under it. He said it's "the beautifullest blanky ever"!

Biography

Lucas is a very happy and cheeky 11 year old boy. He was born at 29 weeks and had a great start but sadly wasn't developing the same as his peers.

When Lucas was 18 months old we were told he would probably never walk, talk or function above 6 months old. He was diagnosed with severe delays and failure to thrive. At 36 months he was diagnosed with 2 extra types of seizures making it 4 types in total.

But, to everyone’s surprise, he took his first steps at 38 months! He then started babbling and when he was 6 years old he could communicate using 2 word sentences.

Now at 11 years old he can talk without end. He loves talking about dinosaurs, what they eat, how big they are and what sounds they make. He can ride a bike (with stabilisers) and even write his own name!

He is my inspiration to never give up.
