BiographyLily is my granddaughter, she has lived with me since she was two weeks old due to maternal problems. It was quite obvious that something wasn’t quite right with Lily’s development from about 9 months of age. She is a lovely little girl, very loving but has very little understanding and is non-verbal. She was diagnosed at the age of 2 years and 10 months after undergoing testing by various consultants, psychologists and therapists.
She is now nearly five and loves the outdoors and being with me. She attends an autistic unit for schooling. They are working on her social skills, which are coming slowly bless her and will now tolerate being around people.
Her favourite thing will always be the beach, she just stands on the shoreline looking out to sea for hours. She loves watching Peppa Pig and singing nursery rhymes.
