Biography

Lily was born at 40 weeks, she had to have oxygen and was cooled and kept in nicu for nearly 3 weeks. We were told very early on that Lily’s mri’s were showing signs that she could possibly have cerebral palsy but we had to wait and see how she would develop with her milestones. Which led to her diagnosis very early on at the age of 6 months.

We were seen constantly for check ups which led to finding out Lily has a visual impairment. We tried glasses to see if they helped but they just seemed to annoy her more than anything.

Lily had her first seizure at 18months which led to her having one almost every month until the age of 2 but by that point we had been given a diagnosis of focal seizures and she got put on medication for them. The medication did help her but as we suspected the bigger she got the more she would have.

Her seizures are still an ongoing battle but like a superhero she just battles through them and comes out smiles every time.

Despite everything Lily has been through she is the happiest little girl you will ever meet. She has a smile that could light up a room. Everyone who meets her just loves her instantly.
