Biography

When Cole was born he was a very quiet baby. He never cried for a bottle and just never cried at all. He used to just lie there in his cot staring into the world. He didn’t crawl until 1 years old and walked just before his second birthday.

When he was around one year old we started noticing signs. He used to babble talk, mam duck etc then one day it all stopped and he just went totally mute! He started banging his head on the floor and the walls when frustrated and flapping his hands when happy. He never played with toys. He was referred for assessment when he was 18months old and was diagnosed with autism at 2.5 years old.

He still has his struggles now. He has sensory problems so has a limited diet and doesn’t like loud noises. He also has global development delay and has a developmental age of around a 2 year old.
