Biography

Max is my only son, born at home a small 5lb 13oz.

He’s always been a sensitive child and a real chatterbox. Always on the go! He loved primary school and started high school in 2022. He did three months before diagnosis, so he’d just made friends and then had to leave due to illness.

Max has always been a healthy child, so in December last year when he got a virus and didn’t pick up, we were concerned. He was very tired, off his food and didn’t even enjoy Christmas. The doctors said it was post viral fatigue but after it carried on and Max was getting very pale, they agreed to blood tests.

He was diagnosed that same day. It was a shock and whirlwind that we’re still living through today.

His treatment is expected to last 3 years so we have still a way to go. Max always smiles and keeps all our spirits up. He really is a brave boy!
