Biography

Ciara has so far been in hospital since 30/5/24. She had 2 major cardiac arrests, whilst already being on life support. She was then put on the EMCO machine that took over her heart and lungs and was also on dialysis for her kidneys. She was than transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital by the specialist intensive care Ecmo team to await a heart transplant. She has now had her new heart but because of all she’s been through she’s unable to walk and is receiving intensive physio rehab and neuro rehab. She will remain in hospital for the minimum of the next two months, and will be in and out of hospital for the rest of her life.
