Biography

Oliver was a really happy baby, always smiling but at around 4mths we noticed he wasn't doing what other babies his age were. Seeing a GP at that time we were told not to worry, all children develop differently and being first time parents you trust what you are being tole.

At 6mths we returned seeing a different GP and he was referred straight way.

At 8mths he had a muscle biopsy and at 9mnths we received his diagnosis. To say we were gutted is an understatement.

Since the age of 3yrs Oliver has had numerous admissions and repeated periods on life support (as he is now, nearly 3wks into this admission), this time for tonsillitis but further more colitis.

At the age of 2 he had spinal surgery for scoliosis and annually he has had rod lengthening & was due to have final spinal fusion on 22.05.12 but unfortunately that has been cancelled following this admission.

Although he is unwell he still tries to stay upbeat!
