Thank you

Another huge "Thank You" to everyone who contributed to Theo's beautiful quilt. We are so touched that "strangers" from all over the UK and even from the USA and Australia have given your time and love. We will treasure it. Theo has been very poorly, so I haven't been able to get a good photo of him with his quilt. But here are a few best-attempts. Wishing you and your families a wonderful Christmas and new year.xxx

Biography

Theo was born by emergency caesarian but was very healthy, with no sign of anythiung being wrong until he was just short of 6 months old. He had a seizure lasting 14 minutes. At hospital, we were told that the seizure was longer than normal and at a young age.
2 months later, he had another seizure. On the way to hospital, he stopped breathing. He was resusitated on arrival at hospital but the seizure lasted for about 3 hours. He was put on life support and transported to Guy's hospital London.

Every 2-3 weeks thereafter, he had a long seizure and was ventilated about 6 times. But his development remained on track. He was a mystery to all the doctors and medical staff who saw him.
At 2 1/2 Theo had what we now know to be a non conulsive seizure, lasting 3 days. Shortly after, he suffered a severe regression.

Now aged 9, he has not regained any speech and is totally reliant upon others for help with everything.
He is a beautiful little boy and so happy.
