Biography

Owen had breathing problems when he was born and was sick a lot as a baby. He had weak muscle tone - he couldn't sit on his own was in and out of hospital a lot. We didn't know what was wrong with Owen until he was 16 months old. There are only about 120 boys worldwide with this syndrome. I am Owen's gran. Around the same time we were told what was wrong with Owen, my daughter was told she had breast cancer. She didn't think about herself, just Owen and what he was going through. She is doing fine now. We don't have a webpage for Owen but we have got a Facebook support group here in the UK. It is mainly just for the boys in the UK - we have 1 girl but there are only about 5 girls in the world with this condition.
