Thank you

Thank you so much for Scott's quilt! He only came home from a 2 month stay in hospital yesterday and the quilt was here waiting.

He loves it and spent the afternoon pointing out all of the squares and patterns and told his sister off when she sat on it!

Again thank you so much!

Biography

Scott was born with no suck swallow reflex and was unable to clear his airways. He was taken straight to NNU where he spent the next 12 days before being transferred to JR in oxford where it was confirmed he has a severe neurological dysfunction. At first this was thought to be a Pseudobulbar Palsy called Worster Drought Syndrome but now the diagnosis is being questioned as he has many other issues not associated with wds.

Scott had a thal fundoplication and gastrostomy fitted at 4 weeks old (Aug 09) which unfortunately failed so a nissens was done in September 2010 and a new gastrostomy formed. He has continued to fail to thrive and at 15 months weighs just under 13lbs. He has been recently diagnosed with cyanotic seizures and has started on anti convulsants, bringing his grand total of daily drugs to 12!

He continues to require regular suctioning as he cannot cope with his own secretions and is on long term antibiotics for kidney reflux. Can't think of much else as so much has gone on my brain is slightly overloaded!
