Binding
The final stage is to attach the binding to produce a neat edge.
A very long piece of 2.5 inch wide fabric is produced by sewing several shorter pieces together:

This long piece is carefully pressed with the iron into half:

The folded fabric is attached to the front of the quilt using the machine:

The excess wadding and backing is trimmed neatly up to edge:

Finally, the binding is turned to the back, pinned and hand-sewn:


The quilt is now complete!
