Thank you

Jack's quilt has just arrived - and its absolutely stunning! Thank you to everyone involved, I know how much time and effort goes into stitching a square and we really appreciate it. Jack's favourite square appears to be one that my friend Helen stitched! Thank you again, I'm sure that it will become a very treasured possession - it's a big hit already, I just wish you could hear the squeals Jack is making !!

Biography

Jack had his first seizure at 4 months old. At first it was hoped he had a childhood epilepsy that we could manage with medication and that he would grow out of as he was hitting all his milestones. Unfortunately that wasn't to be the case and he was diagnosed with Dravet syndrome, a rare form of severe epilepsy. His seizures are uncontrolled and life-threatening and come in clusters of up to 10 a day.
Jack has global developmental delay and cannot speak though he is very vocal! He is very affectionate and cuddly. He loves anything 'stick' shaped - maracas, skittles, fly swatters!, and always carries one around with him.
