Biography

Karise struggled to fit in from an early age, we fought for her to be investigated and eventually after a 3 year battle it was confirmed she had Aspergers syndrome.

Karise finds social situations extremely difficult and often shuts down from the world around her, as she has moved to teenage years she has felt more isolated as she sees others around her manage everyday tasks and gain independence.

Just recently Karise was a diagnosed with Ehler Danios syndrome, she is in constant pain on a daily basis, she regularly dislocates her joint just by simply standing still.

Karise is finding this new diagnosis difficult as it restricts her even more and she quite often just doesn't want to get out of bed. Karise has just been referred for a wheelchair as she is experiencing more pain as she gets older.

Karise has special objects that make her feel safe, the quilt will be a special object for her that she will value and cherish.
