Biography

Toby was born premature at 27 weeks weighing 2lb 2oz. He spent 4months in special care, 10 of those weeks were in intensive care. He was transferred to great ormond street at 3 weeks old for a operation to close a vavle in his heart. He had numerous infections, 11 blood transfusions, 2 lumbar punctures and he developed chronic lung disease.
Toby came home after 4 months on oxygen as his lungs were weak and at 9 months old he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Toby's life consists of constant hospital appointments, he has a feeding tube in his tummy as he's unable to eat orally and he has cochlear implants as he is deaf.

Toby is 4 years old now and has spent most of this year in hospital with chest infections, pneumonia and a more serious infection that attacked his brain, encephalitis, we thought Toby had lost his battle but he has pulled through. Toby is still in hospital at the moment recovering.
