I think Daniel's smile says it all.....thank you so so much to all you stitchers, heather for quilting, the card it's amazing! We absolutely love it! Daniel keeps pointing and saying 'look look'. You do an amazing thing-we will absolutely treasure this forever xxx thank you just doesn't seem enough xxxx

Biography

Daniel was born last August and within 12 hours of birth Daniel was taken to the neonatal unit after a junior doctor doing his check heard a murmur. Daniel was transferred to Glenfield and within a week had a balloon procedure to open his valve that was 90% shut. He lost the pulse in his leg initially and got fluid around his heart, this was drained and became infected. All together he was in hospital 4 weeks. Daniel is now 9 months and although he will need further surgery for now he is doing ok. We have too look out for troubles with breathing, loss of appetite (Daniel is a big food fan especially bananas!) change in colour - and honestly it's terrifying, waiting for your son to become ill and you know eventually it will happen just not when!

He is such a happy boy, always smiling and gives us the strength to go on! He loves watching the octonauts and Disney films, and having Bob the Builder or Mr Men books read to him! He is our only child and is a total delight :) x
