Biography

Tayen was born via normal delivery with few problems at birth. She had a heart murmur which self corrected and rotational talipes. Tayen's (Tots for short) development regressed and was significantly delayed by 12 months. Her eye sight was poor and she was constantly ill, despite paeds appoit wants and follow up's nobody would listen to our concerns. At 22 months old Tots suffered a large seizure at home which last over an hour. They finically did an MRI and found that Tayen had the worst tumours they'd ever seen due to the genetic condition NF1 ( Neurofibromatosis ) we started chemotherapy less than two weeks later to try to save the vision she had. She sadly went blind just 6 weeks into treatment and we have to continue chemo to save other functions. Tayen has since suffered some hearing loss due to the chemotherapy and due to the limited drugs we can use against these tumours we are possibly looking at letting nature take it's course. Tots is fiesty, loveable and never stops smiling!
