Biography

Shannon was 9 years old when she was admitted into hospital with severe abdominal pain and vomitting bile. She was diagnosed as having an Acute attack of Pancreatitis. We were told this was very rare in children and it would be likely to never happen again. Within a few months Shannon had her second Acute attack , and within a couple more months she had her third attack. At this point the scans also revealed she had Chronic Pancreatitis and that her CBD was irreversibly damaged. When Shannon is in hospital she as to be feed via Ng tubing because she is nil by mouth. Shannon as now just suffered her 5th Acute attack on 10th January and as now been booked in for procedures and op of EUS and ERCP and depending on finding they will continue to remove her Gallbladder. She suffers with daily chronic pancrearitis pain and now as aniexty. She is on alot of medication and needs to be given IV morphine during her hospital stays.

She is extremely brave little girl.
