Biography

Novaleighs pregnancy was perfect, all scans perfect, extra heart scans come back 85% she would be heart healthy - we had to wait until she was born to be sure (due to family history).

Gave birth to my beautiful 8lb bundle and was over the moon. Great development, passed newborn screening tests, passed her 9 month check. Got to winter of 2015 and something was telling she was no longer hearing me as before- from previous experience with her sister I panicked and the more I thought about it I was noticing it long before it clicked and I realised.

I made a GP appointment where a referral was made and sure enough during her hearing test she failed and was sitting with a moderate to severe loss. My second daughter was now getting hearing aids to help her.

She also has joint pains causing her to limp. This all started in summer 2015- it went away so no further tests or investigation was done, come 2016 where she was getting blood test after blood test, hip X-rays and referred to a bone and joint specialist- we've been told it's a possible she had juvenile arthritis. We are waiting for a new date for an ultrasound of her joints and no doubt more blood test.
