Biography

On the day of Tobys 4th birthday in January this year he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.

Toby was well in himself at Christmas but soon after he became unwell to a point where he couldn't walk. I took him to the GP who couldn't find anything wrong. Not happy with this i took him to A&E at the Leeds general infirmary. He underwent many scans and tests. We were then given his devastating diagnoses on the day of his 4th birthday.

Toby has had lots of chemotherapy however this didn't work as expected. He then received 2 rounds of extra treatment which didn't really work either. We were told that Toby would be given 2 more lots of this treatment and if it didn't work they were not sure what our options would be. Toby has had these extra 2 rounds of treatment and we recently received the fantastic news that the treatment has finally worked enough to move on to the next phase of treatment. Next week Toby will have an operation to remove the main tumour along with his left kidney. He will then move onto have high dose chemotherapy.
