Biography

Lily was born with an exomphalos (organs on the outside of the body). She spent the first 8 months of her life in hospital where they found she had a double aortic arch tied around her airway. This was repaired but had left a floppy airway so she had to have a tracheostomy with 24/7 ventilation and oxygen. She weened off the o2 first and then day time ventilation by the time she was 3.
She spent the first few years in and out of hospital. In 2019 she had her exomphalos repaired from which she recovered like an absolute superstar considering how dangerous the surgery was. She still needs night time ventilation and will do while she grows.
Lily has a huge love for life and makes everyone smile that she meets along the way.
