Biography

Archie was born via emergency c-section. He was a well baby but when he got to a toddler we started noticing a few things. He was very late walking, getting out of nappies, he didn't interact well with other children and would have meltdowns. As he started school these problems become more apparent and he was diagnosed with mixed neuro-developmental disorder. He also missed a whole term of first school due to being so anaemic.

He started high school in September 2019. Unfortunately Archie would only attend for 17 days and still is too unwell to attend. He got a really nasty virus similar to glandular fever and never got better. He started sleeping 20+ hours a day, no energy and muscle pains. After lots of tests to rule stuff out he was finally diagnosed with severe chronic fatigue syndrome.

Archie spends most of his days in bed asleep, he is not awake many hours and when he is we try to get food and drink down him, bath, shower or wash him. If he is able he has just started doing a bit of school work through medical needs which he can do anytime night or day as sometimes the only hours he can be awake is during the night. As for now all we can do is hope that at some point in the future he will improve and be awake more.
