Thank you

We are delighted to say Toby's quilt arrived this afternoon and Wow! We are utterly lost for words. His quilt is simply AMAZING! So much talent in every single square.

We honestly cannot thank everyone enough who took part in making the quilt. He is over the moon with it! It is so stunning!

As promised a few photos of our cheeky chappy with his new space quilt!

Thank you to everyone again. It's really made Toby smile.

Biography

Since being very young Toby has always been a very spirited little boy. Always so full of life & energy. When he started school his struggles became much more noticeable as he really struggled fitting in socially and became very lonely and isolated. He struggled becoming involved in his school life and he started displaying very physical outbursts and became very obsessive over things that he liked. Toby even now at the age of 12 has to stick to a very strict routine in order to function and cope with daily life. Any change of routine causes him a lot of stress and anxiety and then he will become very aggressive and lash out and even harm himself. Toby still struggles with school life and requires a mentor and counsellors to cope with main stream school. At home is Toby's safe place. He very often sits in his cosy corner alone with a blanket and a book. This is Toby's way of managing and a place to calm down and reflect if things get on top of him. Toby is very academically smart and sees life from A very adult point of view. If something sparks Toby's interest he will be able to tell you everything you need to know on the subject and memorises the smallest of details.

Despite Toby's needs he is the most loving boy you will ever meet. He could sit and chatter all day and loves to give his mama big cuddles. He absolutely adores blankets and often hides in them as he says he feels safe and it's his little forcefield and nothing can scare him when he's under a blanket.
