Biography

Cameron was born in May 2008 but he didn't meet any of his milestones. I was concerned so contacted my health visitor who arranged for him to see a paediatrician. Through a multi-disciplinary clinic autism was diagnosed when Cameron was 2. He started at a special needs nursery at age 3 and has been at the same special school ever since. He was doubly incontinent until the age of 12 and still needs prompts for the toilet.

Cameron didn't talk until he was about 7 years old. He still uses an iPad and Pecs book to communicate. Even though he can talk now he only repeats phrases he has heard, you cannot have a conversation with him. He likes swimming and horse riding and goes to riding for disabled which really calms him. He won an award once for most improved rider.

His favourite things are Formula One and football. He will recite commentary from certain races and games.

He is a happy little boy but is in his own world most of the time.

Cameron will need full time care for the rest of his life.
