Biography

Rosalind has atypical RETT syndrome a degenerative condition causing profound disability with a range of symptoms including epilepsy, scoliosis, air sucking and constant hand movements. New symptoms and challenges are constantly emerging.

Recently Rosalind required gastronomy surgery to allow her to be fed through her stomach and developed a post surgery infection. Daily life involves medication, physiotherapy, splints, incontinence pads, medical tests and tube feeding.

Whilst Rosalind has faced many challenges, is non-verbal, uses a wheelchair and tires easily, her amazing personality shines through. She has an infectious giggle, dazzling smile and great determination. Rosalind loves music, smiles, cartoons, nature, the seaside and cuddles.
