Child Interests

Danny loves emergency vehicles and will spend hours watching different police and fire vehicles and playing with toys like this.
He loves blue so much so that he gravitates towards anything blue.
He also loves elephants, it's one of the few words he can say and he repeats it up to 200 times a day, watching Hickory Dickory Dock the elephant went up the clock repeatedly.

Biography

We adopted Danny and his sister when he was 5 months old and she was 19 month old. Danny was born in withdrawal and had a really tough first few weeks. Danny and his sister are like twins and are so close but we noticed a delay in Danny. Danny is non-verbal and relies on pictures and Makaton to communicate.

He is the most bubbly loving little man who's had a tough journey but we are so incredibly proud of every little achievement. Danny at 5 has the understanding of maybe a 2 year old but every day he learns something new, whether it be putting his shoes away, brushing his teeth or managing to get his socks on. We take every little win!
