Biography

Harrison was born a healthy baby, or so we thought. It wasn't until he started not reaching milestones like holding his head up or rolling that we realised something was wrong. When Harrison was 10 months old he was finally seen by a pediatrician who sat us down and told us something was very wrong with Harrison. From that moment we spent lots of time in and out of hospitals receiving multiple tests and having many treatments.

Harrison was diagnosed with hypotonia, global development delay, optic nerve atrophy, dystonia, ketotic hypoglycemia, shrinkage of cerebellum, autism and more. We had no definitive answer with genetic test after genetic test and finally, late last year after 7 years of the unknown, we received answers.

Harrison doesn't walk, is non-verbal and has multiple disabilities but he is the happiest little boy with the most infectious laugh and has brightened up our world. His condition is super rare and not a lot of information is known but he is progressing and is an absolute joy to be around.
