BiographyPregnancy was normal and healthy, however when Michael had his heel prick test done after a few days they realised something was wrong but were unsure what. He developed normally (although small). Michael could crawl, sit, stand, eat and drink. However at age 1 these skills started to regress. He fell every time he sat up, crawling got slower and finally he was really struggling to feed. He was fitted with an ng tube at our local hospital and then sent to London for an MRI. He was diagnosed that day with MEGDEL syndrome with a very small life expectancy. Today Michael can no longer sit, stand, crawl, eat or drink. Michael is happy, smiley and full of love.
