Biography

Everly is 4 jabs 4 weeks post surgery to untether her spinal cord. She is up and walking now but very unbalanced and falls frequently.

She had her first surgery at a week old for anorectal malformation but still suffers with constipation and is being tested for neuropathic bladder.

She had coil embolization of lateral vessels at 7 weeks old to reduce pulmonary hypertension and to make sure blood flowed correctly through her heart. She suffered with hypertension causing breathlessness and was tired a lot. She has now overcome this and seems to be doing great at present.

She is non verbal and autistic and refuses all clothing so we rely on warm blankets and covers. She is happy at home, twirls around making noises. Her only word is blue which we think is her favourite colour. She is mischievous and tries to sneak off upstairs a lot to be alone but due to falls she is constantly watched. She is medically complex but that doesn’t stop her. She loves books, animals, numbers and colours
