Biography

Joseph is a happy 4 year old little boy who required life saving cardiac surgery to survive. Shortly after birth he was ventilated and transported to Alder Hey. Joseph had his first open heart at 16 days old and went on to have a further 2 emergency open heart surgeries before he was 1 month old. He suffered lots of complications like infections, Endocarditis, bleed on the brain and multi organ failure and after 4 months in hospital and 8 surgeries in total he came home.

He has since been diagnosed with periventricular leukomalacia, cerebral visual impairment, he has a peg for nutrition and he's got issues with his bowel that's under investigation currently.

Joseph loves going to nursery but can really struggle with interaction and is developmentally behind. He's got a lot of medical stuff going on but he is just the happiest funniest little boy ever.
