Biography

Spencer was born 2 weeks early but left hospital as a " healthy" baby with no concerns. Approximately 2 weeks later I noticed something wasn't right with him. I took him back to the hospital. He had an all over examination. We then got pulled to the side to be told.

Spencer has Scimitar syndrome and a very rare urethral duplication, both issues are extremely rare. Scimitar syndrome is a heart problem. The urethral duplication is a problem with his water works. His urethral duplication is so rare that doctors in the hospital asked to film the problem because the form Spencer has has never been seen before. So he needs very complex staged surgery.

With his heart problem, Scimitar syndrome, he requires open heart surgery to repair the way the heart works. Again a super rare condition.

Spencer requires daily medication and we are in and out of our local hospital for appointments as well as being under the care of the Evelina in London.
