Biography

Jessie had numerous joint dislocations from very young and we all hoped Jessie would grow out of it. Jessie even had surgery on the femur in the hope the knee would stop dislocating but it didn’t work. Jessie was finally diagnosed with hEDS at 17 and by then was a full time wheelchair user due to unstable knees and ankles.

All joints are impacted which causes constant pain. Joints are so flexible: Jessie can dislocate just rolling over in bed. Last year digestion stopped working, first she had an Nj tube but that failed too so Jessie is now fed by total parenteral nutrition.
