Biography

Joseph was born unexpectedly with Down’s syndrome and later diagnosed as failure to thrive. He was frequently in hospital and at the age of 2 it was discovered he had an issue with his stomach needing immediate surgery and a feeding tube was placed.

At 7 his stomach herniated into his chest causing a cardiac arrest, resulting in many operations and a long stay in hospital.

At 12 we discovered his hips were dislocating and he again underwent a big operation to fix the problem spending 8 weeks in a brace. Since then he's had a further 4 operations on his legs.

At 16 we discovered he has a cardiac issue and has had a cardiac device implanted.
