Biography

Harry was born three weeks early and as a baby he slept very little and tended to play by himself. He had a lot of issues at nursery with him being disruptive, not sitting still for carpet time, not getting involved with others and group activities and issues with biting due to frustration as he was late at talking.

Concerns continued when he started school with his verbal and social skills as he has a lisp when he talks and can spit when he talks due to this. The school brought me in many times to discuss their concerns and he was invited to be a part of the roarsome room, run by two emotional and mental well being practitioners. He now currently has free flow to the roarsome room as he can’t cope full time in the classroom and needs multiple movement breaks.

He was referred for asd and adhd testing in year two and finally had the assessments, the first part in October and the second part and diagnosis at the beginning of December last year. He’s currently on melatonin prescribed by his doctor at night time to help him unwind and relax for bedtime but he struggles to stay asleep and wakes multiple times in the night. I’m currently in the process of doing up his bedroom. He now has a sensory spin chair, colour bubble fish tall light, sensory chew toys and an astronaut space night light all to keep his room as a calm sensory zone
