Biography

From a very young age it was very apparent that Jacob had autistic traits. He had repetitive behaviours, no sense of danger, meltdowns and difficulties with language and communication. We spoke to his health visitor who agreed with us and did a referral to speech and language and Rainbow House paediatrics where he was seen at 2. He was re-assessed after his 3rd birthday and was given a diagnosis of autism. He has no danger awareness and difficulties with walking so he has been given a disability pushchair to help with getting him out and about. He likes to wrap himself up in covers and blankets and playing with all vehicles to regulate how he is feeling.
