Biography

Joshua was born a happy healthy baby, who met his milestones apart from crawling and very late walking. He started to get frequently ill with tonsillitis from age 3. At 5 he had his tonsils removed. However the frequent illness continued. It was very debilitating with severe fatigue and glands always extremely swollen. Finally at the age of 6 he was diagnosed with Periodic Fever Syndrome with Aphthous Stomatitis, Pharyngitis and Adenitis.

He started daily treatment for this. However his legs started to become painful and he was referred to physiotherapy. After years of pain, leg castings and insoles Joshua was referred to an orthopaedic surgeon. He had to have tests at a specialist hospital, CT scans, Gait analysis, Xray measurements and at the age of 12 was diagnosed with tibial torsion, his legs below his knees were 51° out of place. And his knees bowed.

He has had 2 major surgeries to correct this already. He has approximately 4 more operations to have. His next one is March 2026 where they will break his left foot and realign it. In amongst all of this Joshua was also diagnosed with Autism. He never complains, just gets on as best he can.
