BiographyLogan has always struggled with his breathing. At 11 days old he was blue lighted to hospital as he had stopped breathing. And again at 3 months old and 6 months old for viruses.
All the while we had no diagnosis but I kept fighting for him. He was let home after 2 weeks in hospital without being able to wean him off the oxygen.
Later we were passed to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where Logan was put to sleep for a CT scan, which showed he had endocrine cells in his lungs, taking up the room that the oxygen would need.
To this day we have been trying to wean him down on his oxygen and he has had his tonsils and adenoids out to help him be able to breathe better.
He is on oxygen 24/7 and when he we go out he has me(mum) who helps him with the oxygen tank and I have to follow him everywhere with it. At home he has more freedom with his concentrator and long tubing but we have to be careful we don’t get tangled with toys.
Logan has recently started nursery and he really enjoys it and playing with his friends. There he has a 1:1 who carries the oxygen around and helps him out.
As of right now, we are just going day by day and Logan is on oxygen for the foreseeable as he struggles to breath.
