Biography

Blair was born 3 days before his due date. He was a gorgeous little squish and we fell in love with him immediately. The first couple of weeks were met with a very unsettled little boy who struggled to take milk and became very sleepy. Despite numerous visits to A&E none of his problems were picked up until we eventually refused to leave hospital mid November 2015.

Within hours of our admission Blair was diagnosed with a cleft palate and then a constant flurry of investigations began. By the time we were discharged mid December he was on oxygen 24-7 and had to use a special cleft designed baby bottle which required us to squeeze the milk as opposed to him sucking. The next couple of years brought diagnosis after diagnosis such as moderate hearing loss, glaucoma, epilepsy and swallow issues. This led us to genetics where it was confirmed Blair had a mosaic duplication of chromosome 3q24-q29 which was quickly followed by a cerebral palsy diagnosis.

Despite everything Blair has endured and all the medications he takes he is such a happy and bright light! Everyone that meets him instantly falls for his smile and charm and we are thankful every day to have him in our lives.
