Biography

Jude spent almost the first 6 months of his life in hospital - firstly in the neonatal ward, then in respiratory, with regular stays in intensive care. It was a very difficult period. During this time in hospital, Jude stopped breathing several times. When he was 4 months old, consultants decided he would benefit from a tracheostomy. Since then he’s had many procedures to improve his quality of life including a feeding peg into his stomach to help him thrive.

Although Jude is now 2, because he had such a prolonged stay in hospital in his early days, and he’s now constantly in and out of the RVI for ongoing treatment and care, Jude needs specialists to support his physical development.
