How do you say thank you for such an amazing quilt. Thank you to Gaynor and Kat for organising the quilt and stitchers and fabrics. Thank you to all the stitchers for the beautiful squares. Thank you Jan for the beautiful fabric. Thank you Carol for putting the quilt together and quilting the quilt. Chantelle kept saying wow wow as she opened up the quilt, so thank you for making her so happy. I am sure she will sleep well under the quilt of love tonight.

We are very sad to hear that Chantelle passed away on 9th December 2015 :(

Biography

Chantelle was born and requiired ventilation at birth for 21 days, she left hospital at 3 months into foster care. She made slow steady progress and came to live with me when she was 2 years old. Chantelle is adopted. She has had numerous surgerys on her feet to help her to keep mobile as she loves to walk a bit. She has recently develpoed pressure areas on her right foot and had to use her wheelchair all day. She has accepted this with grace and just got on with life. Chantelle uses oxygen at night and can suffer from frequent chest infections. Chantelle has had hospital admissions for a pseudo bowel obstruction and severe episodic hypoglycaemia. She has used our local childrens hospice for respite.

Chantelle is a true fighter and a determined young lady, she rises to challenges in her own unique way. She lives life as fully as she is able, She loves being a member of Girl Guiding and has gone through Brownies, Guides and is now a member of the senior section. Chantelle loves Disney and her favourite princess is Snow White.
