News 20 Mar 2011 - 26 Mar 2011Quilt News This week, Katherine has been working on Aaron's quilt (Cartoon characters) and is just finishing off the binding now. Next she will work on Laura's quilt (Butterflies). Gaynor finished Bradley's quilt (Tatty Teddy) this week. Bradley is currently in Sheffield Children's Hospital and was very poorly indeed in Intensive Care on Wednesday, so Gaynor took the quilt to the hospital in person. Here are Denise (Bradley's foster mother) and her daughter Karen with the quilt:  Bradley is a little bit better now, but we are unable to show you photos of him due to his foster care status. News 05 Mar 2011 - 12 Mar 2011Quilt News This week, Katherine has been working on Elizabeth's quilt She just has a tiny bit of binding to finish and the quilt will be complete! So we hope to bring you news that the quilt has been delivered next week. Elizabeth's quilt is Katherine's 50th quilt for LoveQuiltsUK - well done Katherine and thank you for your tremendous contribution to LQUK. Next, Katherine will be working on Aaron's quilt. A few of the signed-up squares haven't come in yet, so we will make up the number from our Any Child square stocks. Quilts opened/closed Lewis C 's quilt (Enchanted World) was opened and closed. We have now reached our capacity of 32 children's quilts for 2011. We are attempting to find more quilters to help us out, but this is proving difficult. In the meantime we have opened Stitch-a-longs on the theme of the colour green, the colour purple, Disney Characters and Butterflies. We also continue to accept Any Child squares on any theme. These squares will be used to put together a quilt in an emergency, or to help with a child's quilt with missing squares. There are of course still a lot of needy children in our sister organisations in Australia, USA and Brazil too.(links on front page) Square News We have received 8 squares this week!
