    How It's Made!
We thought it might be interesting for you to see how your squares become a quilt, so when Gaynor made Lennon Georgie's quilt in January 2011, she took lots of photos of the process. A series of pages have been prepared, please click here: How It's Made!

    Quilt News
Katherine has just started working on Jayden's quilt (Farm theme). She was slightly delayed as we waited over 3 weeks for the US Post Office to get their act together, but the lost square finally arrived, so the quilt is now underway!

Gaynor has just started working on Eleanor G's quilt (shopping for fabric and washing the squares) It might take a little while as Gaynor has a lot of marking to do for work this month!

    New Applications for Quilts
We have had to take the unusual step of closing to new applications for quilts, the first time in the history of LoveQuiltsUK. We discussed the situation and we have decided we can manage 30 quilts per year between us (Katherine and Gaynor). After the delivery of Krystal's quilt this week there was a flurry of applications taking the total number of quilts for 2011 to 34! We have decided we will take all 34, but we can't physically manage any more. The situation might change if we are able to recruit another quilter, so if anyone has any suggestions or wants to volunteer, please let us know!

We will reassess the situation in June 2011 and we will definitely have re-opened by August 2011 to take applications for 2012. In the meantime, we still have several quilts waiting to open and of course we continue to accept Any Child Squares.
