Fundraising News
There have been a lot of fundraising efforts going on lately!

Let's have a look at what you have been doing:

Oldham Patchwork, Quilting and Craft Fayre stall
Leanda, Heather and Nessa have held their annual stall to fundraise for us at the 7th Annual Patchwork Quilting and Craft Fayre which took place on March 16th in Oldham. Their amazing efforts raised the brilliant total of £576.96 with some monies still coming in online too! A massive thank you to you ladies for your efforts on behalf of LoveQuiltsUK, and also thank you to those who contributed items for the stall including: Jan Simmons, Rebecca Powers, Janet Trimby, Sandra Wright, Natalie Wood, Nicola Hargreaves, Kaz Bowen, Jan Garton, Karen Burton and all those who donated panels for the lap quilts. Please let us know if we have left your name out so we can add you! :)

Alison Wells has been running a secret raffle for us at Bradford Stitch Retreat this week, many thanks to Alison!




Clare Bray - National Needlecraft Award
Our stitcher Clare Bray, who became a cross stitch pattern designer a few years back has won a national award! Clare won Best Original Cross Stitch Design in the National Needlecraft Awards 2019. We are all very proud of Clare - many of her designs have been stitched for our quilts over the last few years too! (For more of Clare's designs, please see Climbing Goat Designs)

Love Quilts Canada
One of our stitchers, Dana Wagner, is hoping to set up a branch of Love Quilts for Canada. This would be the fifth current branch of LQ along with the UK, USA, Australia and Brazil branches (previously a group existed in Germany.

Currently the group is at the planning stage, and if you are interested, please look at the group's Facebook group at Love Quilts Canada Planning

Quilting Fayre
Leanda and Heather will once again be running a stall to fundraise for us at the 7th Annual Patchwork Quilting and Craft Fayre on Mar 16 in Oldham. There will be an exhibition of quilts, cushions, wall hangings, fabric dolls and machine embroidery. There will also be stall from great traders, a cushion tombola and refreshments. The fayre will be held in Queen Elizabeth Hall, Oldham OL1, 1UT from 10.30am onwards. There is on site parking and disabled access. Pop in and say hello if you're in the area!
