Thank youI received Scarlett’s quilt today and it is absolutely beautiful. I was not prepared for just how lovely it would be and how much time and work that had gone into making it. I am so very grateful to all the wonderful ladies who contributed to the quilt and hope that you can tell them how happy I was to receive it.
The quilt has come at a good time, my mother passed away suddenly at Easter and knowing that these women wanted to make something so lovely for my daughter made it even more special.
Scarlett is fast asleep tonight snuggled underneath her quilt and I shall endeavour to take some photos tomorrow to send to you.

BiographyScarlett was born at home after a normal pregnancy and birth. She struggled to feed and was a very unhappy and lost weight rapidly. Scarlett had frequent spasms that woke her up and we didn't realise these were seizures. Scarlett was admitted to hospital at 6 weeks as failure to thrive and testing began.
Scarlett had first tonic clonic seizures at 4 months and rapidly she was having seizures every day. Infantile spasms started at 5 months and we battled with uncontrollable seizures for the next 5 years.
Cataracts appeared just after her first birthday and were successfully removed although her vision is now impaired and she does not have any peripheral vision and can only see up to an arms length away.
Scarlett had a gastronomy fitted at 3 years and has all her meds and milk through this.
She began the ketogenic diet to help control her seizures at 5 years old as we can tried and run out of drug options. The diet has been really beneficial to her and although she has seizures every day they usually self resolve and do not require rescue medication.
Scarlett is a full time wheelchair user and is reliant on us for all her daily needs and care.
She is generally a happy smiley girl, who is stunning red headed beauty and we love her very much.
