Biography

Ethan was just 4 days old when he had his first seizure. We ended up back in hospital where Ethan had multiple seizures and needed to be sedated. They began a barrage of tests but couldn't find a cause to start with. I didn't think Ethan would be coming home from the hospital with us.

Ethan had up to 15 seizures a day until he was 2 and a half then bigger scarier seizures every few weeks until now. He was diagnosed with ARX in 2012.
Ethan is 7 years old and is developmentally at the 6 month old stage. He relies on us for all care needs and moving around.

He is the smiliest, happiest person ever who despite his daily battles continues to smile every day. He's now had a Peg fitted for medicines and fluid due to choking risks and a VNS fitted to help with the hard to control seizures.

Ethan enjoys going to school and being surrounded at home by people who adore him, like his step sister and all of his cousins.
