Biography

Found out at 20 weeks anomaly scan and was told to terminate due to problems they found but we would never do that. We were then told she wouldn't survive birth, so was a really emotional pregnancy not knowing if we were arranging for a birth or a funeral.

She spent 24 hours in NICU then came to me on ward, she was unable to latch on for breast feeding which was upsetting but took to bottle fine. We went home after 7 days due to me haemorrhaging and borderline transfusion.

At 3 months old, we noticed Lilee-Anne having vacant episodes and spasms, we were told it was normal for children that age which we didn't agree so pushed for referral and at 8 months old diagnosed with west syndrome and infantile spasms.

She's had over 70 hospital admissions most to resus her, her very first seizure was January 2013 and lasted for over 2 1/2 hours. As she is hard to canulate due to thread veins now waiting for a portocath and a VNS. She had major hip reconstruction due to dislocation as no socket, and is peg fed.
