Biography

Hannah was admitted to hospital during lockdown last year when severe stomach pain and swelling and drs suspected appendicitis and was due to have emergency surgery to have her appendix removed the following day. During a routine pre surgery ultrasound of her appendix the radiographer found a watermelon sized tumour growing from Hannah’s right ovary and we were transferred to another hospital with a specialist children’s cancer unit. She was operated on that day to remove the tumour and her ovary and Fallopian tube. Over the following weeks the drs discovered that the cancer had already spread and Hannah had four more tumours in her stomach and liver and she started chemo.
