BiographyKerim was born one week early and had to stay in hospital for a week with a heart murmur. Whilst I was feeding him I noticed that he was choking on his milk. We came home and two weeks later he was back in hospital with a chest infection, also needing oxygen and this went on for months. Doctors said he would need a small operation on his throat as he had a floppy larynx and all would be fine. He was very poorly, his lungs collapsed, he found it hard to breathe he ended up on ICU. After the operation things did not get any better, Kerim had more tests and everything kept coming back normal
so the doctors were baffled. They decided to do a genetics test and that's when it came back that he had Angelman Syndrome,
